Yglu
Security and data handling

Your data lives on your accounts.

Yglu is a set of tools installed on infrastructure you own. That inverts the standard B2B SaaS risk shape and answers most procurement questions before they are asked. The six standard questions, answered plainly, below.

  1. 01

    Where does our data live?

On your accounts, not on Yglu’s. The Website Module lives on the hosting bill in your name. The CRM Module runs on infrastructure you own (typically Airtable or Google Workspace, depending on the install). The Construction Module runs on your accounts too, and integrates with the QuickBooks file you already have. Leads, project records, homeowner messages, jobsite photos, draws, and invoices are all stored under logins that appear on your expense report, not Yglu’s.
  2. 02

    Who has access?

You and every team member you invite. Yglu has admin access on each account during the install and while the platform is under continuous improvement. You can revoke Yglu’s access at any time from each account’s own admin panel, and the platform keeps running. There is no separate “Yglu admin dashboard” you have to trust; the source of truth for who can see what is your Google / Airtable / QuickBooks account, on your side.
  3. 03

What happens if Yglu shuts down?

Nothing changes for you. Because the platform is a set of tools installed on your accounts, an outage or shutdown on Yglu’s side does not stop your site from rendering, your CRM from receiving leads, or your build schedule from updating. This is the reverse of the standard B2B SaaS risk shape, where the vendor going dark takes your data with it. Yglu going dark leaves everything you rely on running.
  4. 04

    How are backups handled?

Backups are handled by each underlying account provider, on the SLA that provider publishes. Google Workspace runs its own redundant backup infrastructure; Airtable runs snapshot backups; QuickBooks runs continuous backup of the company file. Yglu does not maintain a parallel backup, because doing so would defeat the model — it would put your data back on our side. The provider SLAs are the ones your procurement team already knows how to evaluate.
  5. 05

Do you sell, share, or train models on our data?

No. Yglu does not sell customer data, does not share it with third parties for advertising purposes, and does not use it to train external AI models. Full policy on /legal. The marketing site (yglu.com) runs zero third-party analytics, no ad pixels, and no fingerprinting; the only data Yglu holds about you before you become a customer is what you type on the application form.
  6. 06

    How is homeowner data handled?

Homeowner portal data lives on your accounts, the same as everything else. You are the data controller for your customers; Yglu is a processor via the tools you use. If you offer your homeowners a privacy notice as part of the build contract, the same notice covers Yglu, because the data never leaves your accounts. A short data-processing summary is available on request for your homeowner contracts.
